Let's talk about tech
It's complicated...
Let’s talk about your programs, or your “tech stack” as an IT specialist might call it.
While this is admittedly NOT my favorite topic, as the Owner + Operator of kat&co I have gotten a reputation as someone who is tech savvy and I generally pick up on new programs pretty quickly. And as a service provider that works with a wide range of clients, I’m sure you can imagine that I use a wide range of programs in my day to day.
Just for fun, here are all of the programs I’ve used THIS WEEK ONLY:
(4) Gmail accounts, (1) Outlook account - Email
Google Suite - Calendar, Sheets, Slides, Docs, Drive
Google Meet, Zoom - Video Calls
Microsoft Suite - Excel, Word
Studio Designer - Design Management
Asana, Basecamp, Notion - Project Management
Dubsado - Client Onboarding
Harvest - Time Tracking + Finance
Slack, LinkedIn - Communication, Networking
Descript - Podcast Recording, Editing Software
ZipRecruiter, Indeed, Business of Home - Recruiting
ChatGPT (aka “Chatty”) - AI Assistance
InDesign, Photoshop, Procreate - Design
Squarespace - Website Design
PHEW (insert anxious breathing here)…
So, why am I telling you this?
In my experience, the programs that work best for your process and your team do not need to be the trendy programs we all hear about. I truly believe that it is not the program that solves the problems in your business, it is the people behind the program.
Let’s think this through with a current issue you have in your business:
What parts of the process are becoming bottlenecked?
Are these delays due to the programs being used, communication breakdowns, or something else?
Will onboarding a new program truly solve issues of communication and transparency? (sometimes this is the case, but not always)
I’d love to hear how this shows up for you in your business! Shoot me an email, or use the link below to schedule a networking chat:

I’m someone who LOVES audiobooks and podcasts, and I usually switch back and forth between multiple (depending on the mood of the day). I also enjoy reading physical books, but there is something about being able to multitask while I listen that really speaks to my inner achiever. Gone are the days of boring chores!
Here are some recent recommendations:

What audiobooks, books, or podcasts have you been loving lately? Virtual book club, anyone? 😉

I am truly excited to be building community around creative small businesses, entrepreneurship, and authenticity.
Until next time - We got this! ❤️
Love from your friend,
