Invitation to the kat&co Download
Allow me to re-introduce myself...
Hey there friends, colleagues, clients and collaborators - It’s your pal Kat, Owner + Operator of kat&co.
This has been a long time coming… in true creative process, I have been weighing the pros and cons of starting a newsletter community for, um, let’s say at least 6 months. Why so long, Kat?
Well, as good as I am at streamlining operations, strategizing new processes, and implementing solutions for my clients (Hi there, if you’re reading!), I tend to overanalyze updates for my own business. Shocker, right?
The reality is, sometimes I need another more urgent factor to come into play before I formalize an idea that has been on the perpetual “hamster wheel” in my brain. And once I finally start, finally clear out the chatter in my head, and finally put pen to paper… it is almost always EASIER than I thought it would be. I’m sure you can relate.
My intention with the kat&co Download newsletter will be to share personal updates, business resources, and engage with you in an authentic and meaningful way - all with the belief that there is enough for all of us to go around. When we remove ourselves from our creative vacuum (our isolation) we grow. No gatekeeping, no scarcity mindset, no bullshit!
Still have you? 😉
Let’s dig in.
If you’re familiar with kat&co or have worked directly with me in the past, you know that I am not a one-size-fits-all type of person. My job is to work together to tap into what is intuitive to you and your business, derive what next steps would start to chip away at those big scary tasks, and then I roll up my sleeves and do the work with you.
Over the last two years I have started to realize that the tasks themselves do not matter as much as the space I hold for my clients. The flexibility I bake in, the understanding of the creative process, and the no-judgement approach I will always share with you and your team. The work we do together is often deeper than words on a page - it is the feeling of having someone in your corner who can battle the storm with you, laughing along the way.

Ready to schedule a call or refer someone my way?
I am truly excited to be building community around creative small businesses, entrepreneurship, and authenticity.

Ok but… who is she?
I’m a California native, creative, and operations specialist - hailing from Bakersfield AKA “the armpit of California” (IYKYK). After finishing up my schooling at UC Berkeley, I bopped around the Bay Area (most notably living in the beautiful Napa Valley, of which I consider my true home), and am now located in Los Angeles.
While my career spanned operations + management focused roles before swerving into business ownership, creativity has always been a part of my life in one form or another… Building sets for the local theater, learning the art of pinstriping on vintage motorcycles, designing custom beer can labels, showcasing my paintings at underground art shows, teaching myself how to block print, creating a wallcovering collection from scratch, and of course getting my hands dirty in the world of interior design, custom furniture and installation.
But in addition to my creative side - I am a highly analytical, logical, and deeply empathetic person. I enjoy connecting seemingly disparate pieces of information to simplify, organize, and translate to others. This balance of left brain and right brain is what fuels me in my work - and I am constantly practicing the art of tapping into my superpower through kat&co. It’s been a wild ride!
Reflection: What are some skills that you didn’t realize you had until you became a business owner? Are there any that you are excited to practice, or perhaps some that you are ready to retire?

And now a word from you, dear reader…
I would love to know - as we enter Spring, what are you most excited for? Is it the feeling of fresh possibility in the air… flowers and houseplants coming back to life… hot dogs on the grill (#hotdogsummer)… or something else? Shoot me a line and let’s connect over the little things.
Until next time - We got this! ❤️
Love from your friend,
Kat
